Anti-Human Trafficking Activity at Mercy Center

The Mercy Associates will have a “soap bar labeling party” in the Acacia Room of Mercy Center in Burlingame on Thursday, January 28, 2016, starting at 6:30 PM.

There will be an opportunity to label bars of hotel soap with a phone number people who are being trafficked can call for help.

Bring a potluck dish to share, and bring your friends who might be interested in learning about trafficking and would like to help with the labeling!

A Flyer for this event is below.

At this event we will show the DVD of Theresa Flores’ story: Theresa was trafficked into prostitution as a middle-class teenager, managed to leave that life, and came up with the idea of putting the Helpline phone number on soap bars in hotel bathrooms, where trafficked individuals would be likely to see it.
