Who We Are

The Bay Area Conference of Associates and Religious (BACAR) is a network of women and men associates and religious who gather together for prayer, mutuality, inspiration, support and friendship. To facilitate these goals BACAR sponsors discussion groups, conferences, and an electronic newsletter. These activities create opportunities for promoting, developing and nurturing lay-religious relationships, community and ministries in the San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas.  Associates and Members of Religious Institutes can remain connected and share information on pertinent topics

The Board Members meet on a regular basis to assist in organizing local discussion groups and prepare for Regional Conference Events.

  1. My name is Kathy Doyle and I am the Associate Co-Director of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany NY Associate Program. We are beginning to attract some Spanish speakers in our Miami group and although most of them are fairly bilingual they would prefer having materials in Spanish. We are translating all our congregational materials into Spanish but I am looking for books on Franciscan Spirituality in particular.

If you have any Franciscan Associate groups could you please forward this message to them and perhaps they might know of some books in Spanish that are readily available.

They can reply to me at memadoyle@gmai.com

    Thank you.

    Kathy
